Tomah School of Childhood - Company Message

3 Year Old Classroom

Mrs. Hofer
I have been working at the Tomah School of Childhood for over 21 years and I have cherished  every moment!  I have two grown children.  My daughter lives in Iowa and my son, his wife and my grandchild live in Madison.  Yes, I am finally a GRANDMOTHER!! (That's my favorite title!)  I graduated from SDSU and taught preschool in Germany, Texas, Illinois, Iowa and Maryland.  I love to travel and walk labyrinths.

Lisa Fletcher

Hi, my name is Lisa Fletcher.  I was born and raised in Tomah, WI.  I attended St. Paul Lutheran School, Tomah Jr. High and Tomah Sr. High.  I grew up enjoying swimming, fishing, biking, singing and playing piano.  After high school, I went on to attend UW-Stevens Point for two years majoring in Elementary Education.  I then got married and transferred to UW-La Crosse.  After graduating with a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education, I worked a couple day care jobs as well as at Goodwill.  In 2005, I took a position at the Fort McCoy Child Development Center where I started working with infants and worked up to preschoolers which is when I became one of two lead teachers to start the pre-k program, Strong Beginnings.  After 8 years of being in this very strictly structured program, I am ready for something a little more laid back, but still love to teach the 4-5 year olds.  I am ready and excited to have fun with these children as well as helping them learn and be ready to enter kindergarten.

I have 2 children, Shawn (17) and Bethany (14) from my first marriage.  I remarried Francis (Fran) in 2015 and also gained 2 step-children, Logan (20) and Marissa (17).  We now all live together in Sparta.  When I’m not enjoying extra-curricular activities our children participate in, I enjoy vacationing with the family, watching movies, solving puzzles and listening to music.

Mrs. Mesner
My name is Linda Mesner. I have been a teacher’s aide at the Tomah School of Childhood for the past 22 years. I worked in the three year old classroom for the first 11 years. I have been with the four year olds since. I have an associate’s degree in early education.  I have two grown children; son Brett and my daughter Casey. They both attended the Tomah School of Childhood. I am a huge sports fan!
